Woman Arrested For Fatally Beating Carteret Man: Prosecutor
The accused woman was acquaintances with the man, according to prosecutors.

CARTERET, NJ — A woman has been charged in the fatal beating of a Carteret man, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office said.
Sandra Simon, 32, of Carteret, was arrested in the beating death of Hector Torres, 59. According to the prosecutors office, the two were acquantiences.
Torres was bludgeoned to death on the first floor of of his rented Carteret home on Oct. 11.

Police found his body after an unidentified witness asked police to check on Torres. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a blunt force trauma to the head.
Simon was charged with murder, and is being held on $750,000.
