Woodbridge Man, 19, Charged In Sunday's Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Crash

A 19-year-old Woodbridge teen was charged with leaving the scene of a car collision with a motorcycle earlier this week in Fords.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A 19-year-old local Woodbridge man was charged with leaving the scene of a car collision with a motorcycle earlier this week in the Fords section of the Township.

The collision occurred at 10:02 p.m. Sunday on Ford Avenue at Arlington Street.

A motorcycle and a car collided in a serious head-on collision and the car fled the scene. Woodbridge Police immediately canvassed the area around the car crash and Elijah Lane, 19, of Fords, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused serious injuries, according to Tap Into.

The man driving the motorcycle was also local to Woodbridge and police identified him as Roberto Geneus, 39, a Fords resident.

Police say a 39-year-old man was riding the motorcycle in his lane when a grey Honda veered into his lane. The Honda struck the motorcycle head on and the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries to his legs and was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He had to be airlifted in a medical helicopter from Fords Middle School.
