'American Idol' Alum's Wyckoff Court Case Scheduled For Wednesday
Constantine Maroulis allegedly kicked the mother of his child, Angel Reed, in the groin in self-defense during an argument.

Constantine Maroulis is due to appear in Wyckoff Municipal Court Wednesday on an assault charge.
Maroulis was scheduled to appear earlier this month, but the case was postponed so Angel Reed, the woman he is accused of assaulting, could be subpoenaed to appear.
Reed, the mother of Maroulis’ 4-year-old daughter, called 911 from their Wyckoff home claiming he allegedly kicked her in the groin and threw her to the ground, TMZ.com reported.

Maroulis was taken to jail and quickly bailed out, the website reported. He claimed he acted in self-defense because Reed allegedly attacked him after he told her he was leaving her.
Maroulis’ representative told the website that there is an evidence Maroulis acted in self-defense.
