Wyckoff Resident Dr. Jeffrey Bienstock to be Honored at HTCNJ Gala

Wyckoff's Dr. Jeffrey Bienstock has dedicated his life to providing medical care to children in NJ and worldwide. The pediatrician will be honored at Healing the Children NJ's Annual Gala.

Dr. Jeffrey Bienstock, a Board-certified pediatrician who resides in Wyckoff, will be honored on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Healing the Children New Jersey's 32nd Annual Gala & Awards Ceremony.  The event will be held at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ.  Miss New Jersey Lindsey Petrosh will serve as Emcee.

Healing the Children New Jersey was founded in 1981 and provides donated medical care to children in need throughout New Jersey and worldwide.  Dr. Bienstock serves HTCNJ as Medical Director and is a member of the Board of Trustees.  He will be presented with The Sergio Award, traditionally conferred upon a volunteer whose dedication, time and compassion has helped to change the lives of children in need.

Dr. Bienstock travels overseas on volunteer pediatric surgical trips as part of the charity's Medical Teams Abroad program.  In addition, he examines and cares for children from throughout the world who are brought to NJ for donated medical care in the nonprofit's International Inbound program.  HTCNJ Executive Director Pamela DePompo stated, "Dr. Bienstock is admired by all who have collaborated with him to provide medical care to impoverished children.  We appreciate his enthusiasm and dedication to children and are proud to call him one of our most ardent supporters."

Dr. Bienstock has been on the staff of The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood,
NJ and presently serves as the Director of Pediatrics.  He is also on staff at St Joseph's Medical Center, Paterson, NJ; Chilton Hospital, Pompton Plains, NJ; Hackensack UMC, Hackensack, NJ; and Bergen Regional Medical Center, Paramus, NJ. Dr. Bienstock is in Private Group Practice in the towns of Fair Lawn, Mahwah and Pompton Plains, NJ. He currently serves as the Vice President Elect for the American Academy of Pediatrics NJ Chapter.
