First Never End The Fight 5K & Mental Health Walk A Big Success!

Local Non-Profit Strives to Start Conversations and End Stigmas

After the tragic loss of their son, Dylan Macaluso, due to an accidental heroin overdose in 2015, the Macaluso family of Wyckoff formed a 501(c)(3) to educate others about the connection between the diseases of mental illness and addiction. Dylan Macaluso excelled academically, athletically, and socially until he began suffering with depression while away at the University of Richmond. Their organization, Never End The Fight, held its inaugural 5K and Mental Health Walk on Sept. 29th in Wyckoff. This community event was a great success with many local sponsors and volunteers, and over 200 race/walk participants. The Macaluso family has been humbled by the amount of community support, and most importantly they are encouraged by the open discussions that are starting about these serious diseases. They pledge to Never End The Fight to make a difference and remove stigmas. Dylan's younger brother, Justin Macaluso, speaks publicly at local schools and rehab centers.
