Franklin Lakes Resident Makes Football Award Watch List
Ross Krautman, a kicker at Syracuse University, is a candidate for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award.
Franklin Lakes resident and Syracuse University kicker Ross Krautman was placed on the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award preseason watch list last week. The award is given to the country's best college place-kicker each December.
Krautman is one of just 30 players to be selected for the watch list.
The watch list is determined by statistics from the previous year. During the 2010 season, Krautman made 18 of his 19 field goal attempts and was the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week after he made a game-winning kick against Rutgers.
