The kernels will be popping Wednesday night for a free outdoor screening of “Life of Pi” at the Franklin Lakes Municipal Field.
The 2012 film, which received 11 Oscar nominations and four wins including one for Best Director, is based on the Yann Martel novel of the same name. It tells the story of a ship-wrecked teenage son of circus owners who forms a bond with a fierce tiger in their adventure to find dry land.
Free popcorn, water, coffee and snacks will be on hand for the event, which is sponsored by the Franklin Lakes Public Events Committee. But supplies are limited, so you may want to park a spot early.
