The firings comes a day after the Giants lost to the Oakland Raiders. It was the first time in 210 games quarterback Eli Manning did not start for the Giants, a move almost universally criticized by sports pundits, the media and fans.
The 2-10 Giants have four games left of their season, which began with Super Bowl aspirations after the team finished 11-5 in McAdoo's first season at the helm for two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Tom Coughlin.

But hope this season faded fast for the G-men and their fan base after an 0-5 start. Two of the losses came on field goals as time expired.
Injuries to the Giants' receivers, including star Odell Beckham Jr., and a terrible offensive line, did not help matters.
Giants fans expressed their approval of the move on Twitter Monday afternoon:
It’s a great day to be a Giants fan!https://t.co/s2qI4bFSAX
