Hearing Date Set For Wyckoff Independent Committee Candidate Petition Challenge: Report

Judge will decide whether independent candidate Thomas Madigan may remain on the November ballot.

Superior Court Judge Estela Da La Cruz will hold a hearing July 30 to determine whether or not independent Town Committee candidate Thomas Madigan can remain on the November election ballot, NorthJersey.com reported.

Republican candidate Susan Yudin filed a suit challenging the validity of the signatures on Madigan’s petition to run for a committee seat. Madigan signed his own petition and one for Republican Mayor Kevin Rooney, who is also running.

Madigan has said his signatures on both petitions are valid because two committee seats are available to be won.
