HGTV 'Kitchen Cousins' Working on Jersey City Residences
Renovations expected to be completed around Spring of 2014.

FLOW-area cousins, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri will have a hand in converting a disused three-story Jersey City building that had been that ctiy's police department into 16 residential units and a first-floor market, according to reports.
Carrino and Colaneri announced this week that the historic building, which was purchased last year, would be converted from its former utilitarian splendor to a sprawling destination hot spot with with living and recreational components.
"This is a historic building and we want people to see and share its historic aspects," Carrino said. "It was embarrassing to see what a building like this turned into. We would love to give it a new life."

"This is a building that's going to be enjoyed by everyone in the city," Anthony's father Alfonso Carrino said of the 30,000-square-foot building.
Alfonso, Anthony’s dad, heads Jersey City-based Brunelleschi Construction, where the cousins had worked prior to their television stardom.

Brunelleschi Construction purchased the Erie Street building last year, according to the news report, and the renovations there are expected to be completed around Spring of 2014.
The residential lofts will vary in size, from 765 to 1,640 square feet, according to the Jersey City Independent.
The future Erie Street Market will feature vendors selling meats, cheeses, and produce, Anthony told nj.com.
