opened in its original location for the last time Sunday, marking the end of almost 30 years for the popular Wyckoff restaurant.

Owner is planning to move the restaurant to the site of the former Wyckoff Bakery, which has been empty since the bakery moved to Ramsey in 2010. The new restaurant will seat 170 diners and include 19 on-site parking spaces, compared to zero at its current location. Cascio said he did not know how soon the new location will open, but estimated the renovations will take about six months.

Some neighboring residents and business owners expressed concern about the project when the Wyckoff Planning Board heard testimony about the plan, saying that the site does not have enough parking and customers may end up parking on their property. Wyckoff ordinance requires 57 spaces for a restaurant the size of the new Aldo's. The board and a parking variance last March, with the condition that Cascio notify his customers they are not permitted to park on anyone else's private property.
