Meyer's House Of Sweets Calms Craving For Local Halloween Treats
The North Jersey staple has been in operation since 1904. For 2021, they've recently released their Halloween menu of sweets.

WYCKOFF, NJ — There's history behind the candy and treats at Meyer's House of Sweets. The local haunt opened in Wyckoff in 2016, but the business is far from a new face in North Jersey.
Meyer's opened in 1904, then known as Meyer's Ice Cream and Confection in Jersey City.
Things have changed at the store over the years, sure, but in a number of ways that matter, things have also stayed the same.

"Known for freshness and quality we can still claim one of the largest selections available," the store said on their website. "Our creams are still poured by hand as well as our jellies and caramels."
Owned by Scott and Cris Meyer, the store is located at 637 Wyckoff Ave., in Wyckoff.

That's an important fact, because just in time for the season, Meyer's has released their seasonal line of Halloween candies, cookies and more. For those familiar with the lineup, Cris Meyer said there are some new additions for 2021.
"Our menu evolves constantly as we always want to stay fresh and give people new things to look for," Meyer said.
Perhaps most impressive is the vast array of chocolate shapes, which include a tombstone, chocolate pumpkin scarecrow, chocolate ghost, and an etching of the word "Boo" in, you guessed it, chocolate.
The store also offers locally made candy corn and candy apples. And for those pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice inclined, the Meyer's also offers pumpkin pie fudge.
Planning a party? The store features "Ghosting" and "Boo Bags" for workplace parties, fundraisers and more this holiday season. There are two new "Ghosting" bags this year, and they'll have new candies from years past.
