Photos: Post Malone's Plane That Blew Tires On Take Off

The tires blew as the plane took off from Teterboro Airport Tuesday. It landed at Stewart International Airport in New York hours later.

Photos show the tires on Post Malone's plane were severely damaged following it taking off from Teterboro Airport Tuesday.

The Stewart Air National Guard Base Fire Department posted photos of the Gulfstream Aerospace G-4 after it landed at Stewart International Airport in New York hours after it took off from Teterboro. (See related: Troubled Jet Carrying Post Malone Finally Lands After Circling NJ)

Tires on the plane were shredded and there was visible damage to one of the wings, the photos show, and the runway at Stewart International Airport was gouged.

The plane circled Teterboro Airport for about two hours before the crew tried to make an emergency landing somewhere in Connecticut before the plane was diverted back to Stewart Airport in New York.

"Is it OK if we hold so some fuel to get our weight down?" one of the crew asked air traffic controllers.

The Gulfstream aircraft landed safely at Stewart International in New Windsor at about 3:50 p.m., said Jim Peters, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson.

Peters said Thursday that the FAA is continuing to investigate what happened.

The aircraft was carrying 16 passengers when it blew two tires as it took off from Runway 24 at Teterboro at about 10:50 a.m., according to the FAA. The aircraft was heading to London Luton Airport in Luton, England.
