Question of the Week: What Qualities Are You Looking For In A Board of Education Member?
Candidates Night is Wednesday at Eisenhower.

Candidates running for the Wyckoff Board of Education will have the opportunity to put their views on the record Wednesday as The Wyckoff PTO Coordinating Council will host a “Meet the Candidates Night” at 7:30 p.m. at the Eisenhower Middle School.
For the Wyckoff School District, four Candidates will vie for two, three year terms: Karl Drehwing, current BOE President Robert Francin, board member Thomas Giamanco and board vice president Lisa Martone. Raymond Hovey is running uncontested for a single, one year term.
The format for the evening will allow each candidate to give a two-minute long opening statement. Candidates will then be asked pre-selected questions about their experience and views on issues affecting the Wyckoff school district and education in New Jersey. All participants will be able to answer each question.
Board of Education Candidates for the Ramapo Indian Hills district are invited to make a statement to the audience and may be available for the meet and greet. There are three candidates vying for the Wyckoff seat currently held by Jeff Brown, who is not seeking re-election. The candidates are Isabelle Lanini, Kenneth A. Porro and Sabaudin Skenderi.
In your opinion what makes a candidate for the Board of Education stand out from the pack? What qualities and credentials should they be bringing to the table? Do you plan on voting in the upcoming elections?
School elections will be held April 27th.
