Wyckoff Board of Ed Members Take Their Seats
Robert Francin voted back in as board president; Jill Mortimer named board vice president
The newly elected members of the Wyckoff Board of Education officially took their seats Monday night following the board's reorganization meeting at the Eisenhower School.
Robert Francin, Lisa Martone and Raymond Hovey were sworn in by Business Administrator Alan Reiffe. Martone and Francin were elected to fill two, three-year terms on the board on Wednesday. Hovey ran uncontested for a single, one-year term.
Francin will retain his position as board president. Jill Mortimer will serve as board vice president, replacing Martone in that role.

One of the first acts of the newly constituted board was to approve the appointment of Joseph Desiderio as acting principal of the Washington School effective Tuesday. Desidero will replace current principal Scott Blake, who will be away on medical leave.
Francin said with the recently approved $35.9 million school budget in place, the board was anxious to get to work.
