Wyckoff Police Catch Up With Vehicle In Mahwah Following Call
A business owner called police after seeing a suspicious vehicle at a parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Three men accused of forgery and fraud were arrested after an alert business owner notified police of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot Tuesday afternoon.
The business owner said there was a newer model black Dodge Challenger with dark tinted windows and Maryland license plates in their parking lot; a person inside the vehicle went into a nearby bank, said Lt. Joseph Soto. Then the vehicle left the parking lot and headed towards Mahwah on Wyckoff Avenue.
A Wyckoff police officer caught up with the vehicle and stopped it in Mahwah, Soto said.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of TyQuell R. Wilson, 28, of New York City, Craig L. McMilian, 27, of Jamaica, New York and Brion A. Howard, 26, of New York City, Soto said.
Wilson was charged with conspiracy to commit forgery, driving without a license and hindering apprehension; McMilian was charged with conspiracy to commit forgery, credit card fraud and possession of a false government document. Howard was charged with uttering a forged document, assuming a false identity, credit card fraud and forgery, the lieutenant said.

The Dodge was a rental, which was overdue and none of the occupants were authorized to drive it, Soto said.
Under New Jersey Bail Reform guidelines the arrested men were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court, Soto said.
In related news, five men were arrested after police said a resident saw them across from his home early Thursday morning.
"We cannot stress enough the value of our residents remaining alert in their neighborhoods and reporting anything unusual or suspicious to the police," Soto said. "We encourage all residents to report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity occurring in their neighborhoods at any time to the Wyckoff Police Department at 201-891-2121.
