(abq.news) — Edgewood’s mayor, Mike Raridan, says he withdrew his resignation and plans to attend tonight’s Town Commission meeting, but commissioners have still scheduled votes to replace him and his seat. The dispute comes amid tensions over a new fire and EMS agreement with Santa Fe County and recent staff departures, leaving residents watching who will actually lead the town.
   

• Edgewood adopts fireworks ban, punts on criminalizing some activities during fire restrictions (nm.news) — Edgewood leaders have approved a 30-day ban on aerial fireworks from May 16 to June 15, with fines up to $500 for violations. Commissioners also delayed a broader fire-restriction ordinance after residents and former officials warned its wording could unintentionally criminalize everyday driving, construction, and farm work, and asked staff to return with a clearer draft.
