• Scouts experienced a true Philmont High Adventure (cleveland.com) — A group of Ohio Scouts reached Philmont Scout Ranch by taking the Southwest Chief train into Raton then bussing to base camp. Their nine‑day trek brought rugged trails, wildlife encounters, conservation work, and even an emergency water resupply, but also confidence, teamwork, and a bonus sightseeing day in Chicago after a long return‑trip delay.
