Multiple nearby fire departments quickly knocked down the blaze, and the American Red Cross is helping those forced from their home while Colonie investigators determine the cause.

'Stop pointing fingers and start lending a hand': Albany community responds to youth violence (news10.com) — Albany neighbors and the group SNUG gathered at Hudson Avenue and Partridge Street to respond to a recent shooting that killed a 15-year-old and injured two teens. Residents, youth advocates, and children in Pine Hills called for listening to kids, addressing housing and historic inequities, and speaking up with information. Their message to Albany is to stop blame and start active support.
