Gastroenterologist Dr. Anika Paradkar joins Albany Medical Center (saratogian.com) — Albany-area patients with inflammatory bowel disease and other digestive issues now have a new specialist at Albany Medical Center's Gastroenterology clinic on New Scotland Avenue. Dr. Anika Paradkar, a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist, is seeing adult patients for IBD, GERD, Barrett's esophagus, and screening procedures, with appointments available by calling the clinic's main number.
   

2. Albany Common Council member's police misconduct allegations dismissed by CPRB (wamc.org) — Albany's Community Police Review Board has unanimously ruled that First Ward Councilmember John Williamson's misconduct allegations against two Albany police officers from a May traffic stop were unfounded, echoing an internal police investigation. Board members cited body-camera and traffic-camera footage, while some still voiced concern for Williamson and his grandson and suggested other ways to address their experience.
   

3. Police arrest suspect in video appearing to show attacks in Albany (timesunion.com) — Albany police are investigating a widely shared video that appears to show a man randomly attacking people on city streets, including near South Pearl Street, and say the suspect has been arrested on unrelated warrants and turned over to Colonie police. Investigators have not yet identified any victims and are asking anyone with information to contact the Albany Police Detective Division.
   

4. Mechanical Engineer - StateJobsNY - Albany, NY, US (dice.com) — A state-funded construction agency is hiring a seasoned mechanical engineer to work at its downtown Albany office in the historic SUNY administration building. The role involves reviewing complex campus building designs, mentoring junior engineers, and occasional statewide travel, with competitive benefits, telecommuting options after six months, and applications accepted only through the employer's careers page.
   

5. Jewish Warriors Wrapped Tefillin at Veterans Convention (anash.org) — Albany-area Jewish veterans recently hosted the Jewish War Veterans' national convention at a Colonie hotel, marking the organization's first gathering in this region. Local Rabbi Mordechai Rubin led daily prayer services where many veterans wrapped tefillin again, while Albany Post 105 members highlighted their ongoing work supporting fellow veterans and showcasing Jewish service to the country.
