With tracks from library services to AI and data analytics, the flexible program can stand alone or serve as a stepping stone toward a full master's degree.

2. Is Albany Nightlife on the Verge of a Comeback? (crlmag.com) — Albany's nightlife is slowly rebuilding, with local bar and venue owners, plus Mayor Dorcey Applyrs' new Nightlife Economy Advisory Council, working to draw people downtown again. From mocktails and themed karaoke to Juneteenth block parties and Warehouse District hangouts, the city is experimenting with new ways to feel vibrant, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Downtown Albany bar space set to return in apartment project (timesunion.com) — Two long-vacant downtown Albany buildings, including the former Legends on Pearl space, are slated for major renovations that will add more than 20 new apartments and revive a bar or restaurant location. Backed by $1.375 million in state grants, J&J Investment Properties plans to convert 84 N. Pearl St. and 5 Clinton Square, with completion targeted between 2027 and early 2028.

Albany stabbing on Washington Avenue leaves 19-year-old injured (wnyt.com) — Albany police are investigating a stabbing that left a 19-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries after a fight inside a Washington Avenue home early Monday. The victim was treated by Albany Fire Department crews and taken to Albany Medical Center, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them or submit anonymous tips through Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
