Debris Falls From Subway, Hits Moving Car In Queens
A rusted piece of debris crashed down from the 7 train's elevated tracks in Woodside, City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer said.

WOODSIDE, QUEENS — A rusted piece of debris fell from the 7 train's elevated tracks in Woodside midday Wednesday. It was the second time in two weeks that debris has fallen from the 7 train onto the street below.
The debris fell on a car below the elevated tracks on Roosevelt Avenue around 62nd Street, according to City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer. The car was occupied and moving, he said.

"We must fix our crumbling subway infrastructure before a tragedy occurs!" Van Bramer said on Twitter.

On Feb. 21, a wooden beam fell from the 7 train around 65th Street in Woodside and impaled a car windshield.
