2 Catering Hall Employees Sick With Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
The two were sent to the hospital after reporting feeling sick.

BABYLON, NY - Two employees at a Babylon catering hall were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday night.
A spokesperson for The Piermont, located on 494 Fire Island Avenue, confirmed in a statement that two workers felt ill and were taken to a local hospital by Piermont management.
"The workers tested positive for low levels of carbon monoxide intake and The Standard Hospitality Group immediately worked to have the problem addressed and mitigated," the statement read.

Following the incident, the local fire department officials visited business and ruled the venue safe and free of any carbon monoxide emissions, according to the statement.
"The Standard Hospitality Group takes the health and safety of its employees and guests very seriously, and is pleased that the workers are feeling better and in good health," the statement read.

Greg Gubitosi, a bartender at the catering hall, told News12 that nine employees said they feeling sick on Friday.
Gubitosi, who had a carbon monoxide level of 23, and another employee were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, News12 reports.
Last week, a Long Island pizzeria was evacuated after a carbon monoxide leak.
