Babylon Dog Parks, Playgrounds To Reopen This Week
The village announced that these facilities can reopen this week as Long Island prepares to enter phase 3 of reopening next week.
BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — Babylon Mayor Ralph Scordino announced that all playgrounds and dog parks in the village will reopen this week. The dog parks and playgrounds will officially open on Thursday.
Guests must wear facial coverings and practice social distancing when necessary.
Long Island is currently on phase two of the reopening process amid the coronavirus pandemic. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Long Island is on track to enter the next phase, which will allow for limited indoor restaurant service and allows personal care businesses to resume operations, including tattoo and piercing facilities, appearance-enhancement practitioners, massage therapy, spas, cosmetology, nail specialty, UV and non-UV tanning, and waxing.

New York continues to see declining coronavirus-related hospitalizations and deaths, Cuomo said, unlike 20 other states that have seen increases.
