
Proposed school budgets for the Babylon and West Babylon school districts were easily approved by voters Tuesday.
In Babylon, a proposed $48.76 million budget, a 0.94 percent spending increase over the current year, was approved a 901-314 margin.
A proposition to reduce transportation mileage limits was approved 800-405. A proposition to establish a capital reserve fund was approved 892-302.

On the Babylon Board of Education, incumbent Tricia Pané (758 votes) and challenger Ann Donaldson (792 votes) won the two open seats. Incumbent Lisa McKeown received 585 votes.
