Cops Seek Man in East Rockaway Bank Robbery
Robbery occurred Monday morning, police say.

Nassau County Police are searching for a man they say robbed an East Rockaway bank Monday morning.
At 9:45 a.m., a man approached a teller at the Capital One Bank at 115 Main Street and demanded cash, cops said. The teller cooperated and handed an unknown amount of cash to the man, who fled south on Baisley Avenue on foot, police said.
Six employees and three customers were inside the bank during the robbery, officials said. No injuries were reported.

Authorities described the man as white, around 40 years old, between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot, thin build, and was wearing a blue Syracuse lacrosse hooded sweatshirt. Police released a photo Monday of the man who was caught on a surveillance camera.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
