Bicyclist Hit By Car in West Babylon Seriously Hurt
Crash occurred Thursday afternoon on Great East Neck Road.

A North Babylon man riding his bicycle in West Babylon was seriously injured when he was hit by a car Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to police, Kenneth David, 55, was riding his bike southbound in the northbound right lane of Great East Neck Road when he attempted to cross Great East Neck Road at Arnold Avenue at about 4:50 p.m. David was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet work van that was heading northbound, police said.
David was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with leg injuries and is listed in stable condition, police said. The driver of the van, Hector Morales, 31, of Lindenhurst, was not injured in the crash.

The van was impounded for a safety heck.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not been interviewed to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
