Selden Men Charged With Dealing Heroin Across Suffolk County

The men distributed thousands of bags of heroin on a monthly basis across the county, police say.

Two Selden men believed to have been distributing thousands of bags of heroin on a monthly basis across Suffolk County have been arrested, State Police said Wednesday.

Jeffrey Iarocci, 39, and Michael Wehle, 42, were arrested on Tuesday after a state police narcotics unit executed a search warrant at 4 Pontiac Road in Selden, where both men live, police said.

Investigators had conducted surveillance at the residence and observed a high volume of drug activity, police said.

Customers would drive to the residence and the drug/money exchange would take place either inside the house or in the driveway, police said.

Iarocci and Wehle would also deliver to their customers as well, meeting at various locations throughout the county, police said.

A 3-year-old girl and her mother were also living temporarily at the Selden home, police said. The mother does not face criminal charges.

Iarocci and Wehle are each charged with: third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first degree loitering, second degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both men were being held for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
