Five Things to Know: May 31

Attend a government meeting, make your own pizza or play bingo for a good cause on a busy Thursday.

1. Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center will be hosting its weekly at 661 Deer Park Avenue in Babylon. The meeting begins at 1:00pm and walk-ins, especially those with babies in hand, are more than welcome to join.

2. The West Babylon Literary Club will be the book "The Little Bee" by Chris Cleave at the West Babylon Public Library at 1:30pm. All are welcome to join in this free meeting.

3. The American Legion Post 94 will host at its headquarters on Grove Place starting at 7:00pm. Come out and play bonus ball and progressive games – food will be available. The event costs $2.00 and all profits support local scholarships and charaties.

4. Getting hungry? Learn how to with Chef Richard at the West Babylon Public Library. He will teach you the history of pizza, making, proofing and stretching your own dough and you will get to take home your very own fresh pizza. The event costs $3.00 and starts at 7:00pm.

5. The Babylon Village Planning Board will hold its starting at 8:00pm in the Babylon Village Hall. The event is open to the public.
