Hometown Hero: EMT Honored For Volunteering During COVID Crisis

WEST BABYLON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

West Babylon resident Josephine Bosco nominated her son, Vincent Mangiapane, who works as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for Jones Beach EMS private ambulance as well as for the West Babylon fire department.

Bosco nominated her son for working countless hours and volunteering his time during the coronavirus crisis. She also believed Mangiapane should be honored for how helpful he is during the current pandemic.
