Last Chance: Speak Out on Village Budget Proposal

The Babylon Village Board will hold a public hearing on its tentative budget tonight at 7 p.m. at village hall, with the annual organization meeting following the hearing.

Residents can review the budget at the clerk’s office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The budget does not include any compensation increase for village board or mayor positions. The current salary for trustees is $7,500 and $15,000 for the mayor.

The village board has approved the option of bypassing the state-mandated tax cap levy if necessary.
