Leg. Horsley Reelected as Deputy Presiding Officer
Horsley will serve another year in same position for Suffolk County Legislature.

Legislator Wayne Horsley (D-Babylon) was reelected by his Suffolk County Legislature colleagues to serve a second consecutive term as Deputy Presiding Officer on Jan. 2.
Horsley, whose district covers his hometown of Babylon Village, Lindenhurst and West Babylon as well as parts of North Babylon, was first elected to his deputy position in January 2012.

“I am honored to serve my fellow legislators as we proceed through the challenges ahead, and I look forward to continuing my work as Deputy to Presiding Officer Bill Lindsay," Horsley said in a release.
He added: “Bill expertly sets a tone for cooperation between the Legislature and the County Executive, facilitating real solutions for the County.”

The Deputy Presiding Officer serves as the leader of the Legislature when the Presiding Officer is not present.
