Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Snowbank on Sunrise Service Road
BREAKING: The crash occurred early Saturday morning, police say.
A West Islip man was arrested on a DWI charge after he crashed his car into a snowbank early Saturday, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, 59-year-old John Paul Fitzgerald was driving a 2014 Chevrolet on the eastbound Sunrise Highway service road in West Islip at 2:30 a.m. when he crashed into the snowbank.
Fitzgerald was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
