No Injuries In West Babylon House Fire

The blaze badly damaged the home but no residents were injured. Check out photos and a video from the scene inside the article.

WEST BABYLON, NY — Four fire departments responded to battle a West Babylon house fire that broke out on Wednesday afternoon. The West Babylon Fire Department received a call for a basement fire at the home on Magaw Place at about 1:44 p.m.

Then the North Babylon Fire Company, North Lindenhurst Fire Department and Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to assist as well as the Wyandanch-Wheatley Heights Ambulance with the rehab unit.

The fire was brought under control in about an hour. No injuries were reported, however the fire did cause extensive damage to the home.

Officials are currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
