Pickup Truck Slams Into Tree, 24-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt

WEST BABYLON, NY – A 24-year-old West Babylon man was seriously injured when his pickup truck crashed into a tree Friday morning, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, Christopher Kruse was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck north on Wellwood Avenue, north of Edison Avenue, in West Babylion when he lost control the truck and struck a tree on the southbound side of the road at about 6:10 a.m.

Kruse was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
