Police Rescue 7 Ducklings From Storm Drain In West Babylon
A mama duck got a special Mother's Day gift when the officers rescued her ducklings from the storm drain Sunday evening.

WEST BABYLON, NY — It was a special Mother's Day for one mama duck who was reunited with her ducklings after they fell down a storm drain in West Babylon Sunday evening. Suffolk police officers responded to Our Lady of Grace Church on Albin Avenue at 5:15 p.m. after a 911 caller reported ducklings had fallen into a storm drain behind the church.
Officer Mark Collins, from the Emergency Service Section, scooped out the ducklings using a large net. The seven ducklings were then reunited with their mother, who was waiting close by. One duckling appeared to be injured and was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment.
