Reminder: Local Primary Election Tomorrow

Local Republicans should head to the polls to vote for their candidate for State Assembly.

The New York State Board of Elections will be holding a Primary Election for the Republican Candidate for the New York State Assembly seat in the 9th District.

Republicans the Republican incumbant Joseph Saladino, of Massapequa, and challenger Richard Young, of West Islip, starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.

District lines were redrawn earlier this year, moving parts of District Nine throughout parts of both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Assemblyman Saladino's former district covered an area from Levittown to Farmingdale and Massapequa. The new district map includes Massapequa and Massapequa Park, extends down to the Barrier Beach islands before coming back up to include an area from West Babylon through parts of West Islip.
