Talk Back: Driving While Intoxicated
After three arrests following accidents in the past week on Long Island, is enough being done to keep drunk drivers off of the roadway?

In the past week there have been a rash of drunk driving arrests on Long Island and, more specifically, in nearby areas with the results a little more shocking than the previous.
Last Friday, a Bellport man was arrested after causing a motor vehicle accident while intoxicated with his children in the car. On Monday, a through a Huntington home, narrowly missing the homeowner and her caretaker. Later on Monday, a drunk driver in Lindenhurst and caused a three-car accident.
With the summer approaching and more holidays and beautiful weekends sure to bring the possibility of drunken driving, we want to know how you feel. Are the legal penalties against drunken drivers enough? Should there more awareness to help potential drivers think twice before starting the car? How would you keep intoxicated drivers off the roadway?
