Village Board Approves Pool Repair Bids, New Laws
Babylon Village will spend $1 million+ in opening repairs to pool damaged by Sandy.

The Babylon Village Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the lowest bids sent for repairs to the village pool and approved two local laws at a regular meeting on Feburary 12 at village hall.
The board approved the lowest bids to the village to help repair the damage at the Babylon Village Pool, which partially collapsed after bearing the brunt of the waves in the Great South Bay from Hurricane Sandy in October.
The village pool's bulkhead will be repaired by Rockmore Contracting Corporation of Ronkonkoma for $1,085,000 while the concrete retaining wall will be repaired by 2 Sav Construction of Brooklyn for $208,000.

"We'll be able to account for production and extra items," noted village attorney Joel Sikowitz. "We want to get more bang for our buck!"
