• Maintenance worker charged in Patchogue teen kidnapping case dies in jail, report says (greaterlongisland.com) — Bay Shore readers should know a local man previously pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and rape involving a Patchogue teen whose wider kidnapping case is still unfolding in Suffolk County courts. Another defendant, a Bohemia maintenance worker, recently died in jail while awaiting trial, and multiple co-defendants continue to face serious charges tied to the teen's 2024 disappearance and alleged abuse.
