Parker Jewish Institute to Host ‘Shielding Seniors’ Workshop on Preventing Scams and Identity Theft

The Parker Jewish Institute is hosting an educational program, “Shielding Seniors: Protect Yourself from Scams and Identity Theft,” on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Older adults and their families will gain information about recognizing fraud and protecting their personal information. Registration will take place on the day of the event from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by the presentation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Parker Auditorium. Light refreshments will be served.
Participants will learn:
- How to recognize common scams targeting older adults
- Ways to protect personal and financial information
- Warning signs of identity theft
- What to do if you suspect you’ve been targeted
- Resources available to report fraud and receive assistance
