BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — The NYPD is offering a $20,000 reward for information about the shooting that killed 1-year-old Davell Gardener Jr. and injured three others, which remains unsolved four months later.

Davell was hit by a bullet in the torso on July 12 when gunmen unloaded a hail of bullets on a cookout at Raymond Bush Playground. He later died form his injuries at the hospital.

Three other men — ages 36, 35 and 27 — were shot at the cookout and were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries, police said.

Police have also released video of the shooting itself.

The shooting was one of the first incidents this year to prompt a "Stop the Violence" family day and town hall, held at the park where Davell died, to call for an end to an ongoing citywide shooting surge.
