Bed-Stuy Fire Engulfed Mosque In Flames, Says FDNY

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire on Gates and Ralph avenues early Saturday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A mosque and deli were engulfed in the flames of a two-alarm fire on Gates Avenue early Saturday morning, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out in a two-story building on the corner of Gates and Ralph avenues — home to the Brooklyn Broadway Jame Masjid And Islamic Center — around 6 a.m., said an FDNY spokesman.

No one was injured in the fire, which was extinguished by 7:33, and the cause of the fire is remains under investigation, according to the FDNY.
