Bed-Stuy To March Against Gun Violence

Brooklynites will take to the streets of Bed-Stuy next weekend to rally against gun violence.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites will gather in Bed-Stuy next weekend to rally for peace and against gun violence as the borough's murder rate continues to spike, organizers announced.

Protesters, elected officials and victims of gun violence will march from Herbert Von King Park to Restoration Plaza on June 29th as part of the Bed-Stuy Peace March, according to community organizers from Save Our Streets Bed-Stuy.

The march concludes Gun Violence Awareness Month and comes months after police reported a steep spike in murders in Brooklyn this year.
