Thompson died after he and his wife — 100-year-old Ethlin Thompson — were tied up in their Decatur Street home in Bed-Stuy on Thursday, police and officials said.

Thompson’s wife escaped from her ties and alerted police, who found Thompson lying unconscious on the floor, said police officials.

Thompson was rushed to Interfaith Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, police said.

Police are offering a $2,500 reward to anyone can provide information about the four suspects who broke into the home. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

Borough President Eric Adams has also offered a $1,000 reward, he said in a statement.

“I am also making a call out to our community, particularly my fellow black men, to step in with the funds necessary to pay for Waldiman’s funeral,” Adams added.

The funeral plans were originally reported by the New York Daily News.
