Man Falls From Bed-Stuy Balcony During Fourth Of July Celebrations: Report
Shea Girdley sustained critical injuries after he fell from his balcony on Hart Street Tuesday evening, the Daily News reported.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man fell off a balcony and dropped three stories during a Fourth of July barbecue, according to reports.
Shea Girdley, 30, suffered critical injuries when he fell about 30 feet from his home on Hart Street near Marcy Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, police sources told the Daily News.
Girdley was rushed to Kings County Hospital with trauma to the head, the Daily News reported.

Girdley’s roommate Shane Simmons, 46, said Girdley, an ironworker from Missouri, had been drinking all day before he stepped onto the ledge.
“He was on a destructive path,” Simmons told the Daily News. “He's a good kid, one hell of a worker, just troubled."
