Rapper Who Blasted Flamethrower From BK Bus Turns Himself In

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A local rapper who blasted a flamethrower from the roof of an MTA bus last week has turned himself into police, according to reports.
Dupree G.O.D — who pulled the stunt for a Wu-Tang tribute music video — surrendered himself to the NYPD at the 79th Precinct on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Daily News.
The NYPD began investigating the incident after the video of Dupree circulated on social media, sparking outrage from the MTA and police union.

Dupree insisted Wednesday the stunt was safe.
“Everything was in a safe, controlled environment," he told the News. "It’s for the art. For the Wu-Tang.”

The strange incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the intersection of Putnam Avenue at and Franklin Avenue, according to the New York Post.
Videos show Dupree on the roof of an ice cream truck before he hops on top of a B26 bus that had stopped at the street corner. He fires off his flamethrower as a crowd of onlookers cheer and film, and eventually hops off the back of the bus when it starts moving.
