Slate Of Activities Coming To Bed-Stuy Black Lives Matter Mural
A new collective will bring weekend activities to the Fulton Street mural until Labor Day, according to the BK Reader.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — The Black Lives Matter mural on Fulton Street will soon become a hub for community activities thanks to a new collective, according to the BK Reader.
The Bed-Stuy Mural Collective plans to hold weekend programming at the Brooklyn mural on Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day, according to the outlet.
The activities will kick off with "Synergy Saturday" this Saturday, a day of socially distanced programs surrounding movement and wellness. Events will include a morning mediation, stretching with Master Sabu, Stacked Yoga, Skate-Aerobics, West African Dance and more, BK Reader reports.

Another regular feature, "Feel Good Fridays," will kick off next week on Aug. 7.
The program will be led by promoter Marlon Rice of Good People NYC will include a Gospel Night, Advocacy Night featuring performances from HipHop group Smif-n-Wessun and Community Night with live performances from The Black Yacht Rock Club.

A Caribbean-themed night is slated for Labor Day Weekend.
The collective was formed by Councilman Robert E. Cornegy, Jr., Community Board 3’s Economic Development Committee, The Coalition for Community Unity at Black Lives Matter Way, Restoration ART & The Billie Theatre, Bed-Stuy Gateway BID, Bridge Street Development Corporation, Good People NYC and Tompkins Avenue Merchants Association.
