Straphanger Slashed And Robbed Of Cell Phone On The A Train, Police Say
Police are hunting for a man who slashed a woman's face, grabbed her phone, and fled the Nostrand Avenue station in Bed-Stuy on Wednesday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who slashed a woman in the face and stole her cell phone on the A train Wednesday evening.
The 51-year-old woman was attacked on a northbound A train at the Nostrand Avenue station near Atlantic Avenue around 5:45 p.m., police said.
The slasher — whom police describe as a six-foot-tall, 300 pound man wearing a red hooded jacket — struck her in the face, grabbed her cell phone, and fled the station, according to police.

The woman treated at Kings County Hospital for a gash that stretched down the left side of her face, said police.
