FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Pound Ridge Women’s Republican Club to Host

                 Annual Holiday Luncheon

The Pound Ridge Women’s Republican Club will host a holiday luncheon and annual meeting on Friday, December 14th starting at 11:30 am at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Bush in Pound Ridge. The club, which began back in 1952, is also celebrating their golden jubilee this year.

Club members and town residents are cordially invited to join in celebrating the start of the holiday season and rekindle the joy of a perfect holiday happenings among friends and neighbors.  Local town officials will also be in attendance.

In observing the holiday season, this year the Pound Ridge Women’s Republican Club has initiated a noteworthy project of bringing holiday joy and happiness to a local family in  need, challenged by a child's long-term illness.  The club is collecting gift cards and monetary funds to benefit the family’s daily necessities and to provide some holiday cheer. Although there is no charge for the luncheon, members and invited guests are being asked to contribute to this worthy cause and the funds will be allotted directly to the family.

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Pound Ridge Women’s Republican Club would like to share holiday goodwill to others in observing the true essence of giving and sharing and to give back to those individuals who experience challenges in today’s times.

Please RSVP by December10th or email at PRWRC1952@gmail.com . For further information about the luncheon, please call Millicent Bush at 764-1148.
